Essence .itx Documentation (Cubist.itx)

[ Back ]

This is somewhat of an Escher-like pattern, an optical illusion of a grid of cubes. Depending on which way you cross your eyes, the cubes look like they are pointing in or out of the surface. You can change the colour and filter values of two parts of the pattern, with the third part defined by the original object surface.

You cannot change the reflect values with this texture directly, but if you’re desperate you can use Swapcrf to do it.

REQUESTER TABS

  • Cube Size:
The size of the cube in Imagine Units.
  • Color 1 RGB:
The colour applied to the first part of the pattern.
  • Filter 1 RGB:
The filter value applied to the first part of the pattern.
  • Color 2 RGB:
The colour applied to the second part of the pattern.
  • Filter 2 RGB:
The filter value applied to the second part of the pattern.
  • Fade Value:
This parameter allows you to control the strength at which the texture is applied to the object's surface; a value of 0.0 applies the texture at maximum strength, whereas a value of 1.0 makes the effects of texture invisible.
